Prather E. Rafferty, 74




Prather E. Rafferty, Russell Springs, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Elliott Wilson Rafferty and Mattie Ermine (Ma) Benningfield Rafferty, was born March 13, 1934 in Taylor County and died at 9:10 a.m. Sunday, April 27 in Russell Springs.
Rafferty professed faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. He was a farmer and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom.
Rafferty united in marriage to Jeanette Wise on February 27,1954.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, Jesse Rafferty, Gladys Newton, Lucy Irene Newcomb, Myrtle Deverl Rafferty and Elbert Rafferty.
Besides his wife, Jeanette Rafferty, Russell Springs, he is survived by two sons and one daughter, Larry E. Rafferty, Campbellsville, Barry Rafferty, Jamestown, Kathy Munday, Greenville, TN, and Tim Munday, Rock Hill, SC; four grandchildren, Kayla Munday and Sarah Munday, both of Greenville, TN, Cody Rafferty, Jamestown, and Charles Jacob Rafferty, Campbellsville; one sister, Nettie Newton, Louisville; and a special nephew, Geary Newcomb, Campbellsville.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Dave Walters. Burial in Brockman Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Michael Dishman, Henry Ford, Gerald Farmer, Tim Munday, Eddie  Rogers and Mike Rogers.
